Mondas has reached an important milestone: The company has been successfully certified in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001:2022. The TĂśV certificate confirms that information security at Mondas is systematically managed and firmly embedded in day-to-day operations. In particular, municipalities and municipal utilities now have independently verified assurance that their projects and data are handled by Mondas in accordance with clearly defined security standards.
The ISO/IEC 27001 certification assesses whether a company has established an effective Information Security Management System, or ISMS, applies it consistently in its daily operations and continuously improves it. The audit examines not only the IT infrastructure, but the entire interaction between processes, employees, and technical systems.
During the nine-month certification process, structures were further developed, responsibilities were clearly defined, and information security was integrated even more systematically into the company’s operational processes.
Particularly valuable for municipalities and municipal utilities
“The certification provides our customers with independently verified assurance that Mondas manages information security in a binding and structured manner and implements established security processes,” emphasizes Christian Reetz, CEO of Mondas. Municipalities and municipal utilities in particular have high expectations regarding data protection, information security, and the reliability of their service providers when digitalizing their energy infrastructure.
The certificate is initially valid for three years. Annual surveillance audits will verify that the requirements continue to be met and that the planned measures are implemented consistently.

The certification process was supported by proXcel Berlin. “We found the conditions to be excellent,” says Christian Linke, Senior Consultant at proXcel, praising the collaboration. “Mondas embarked on the implementation of ISO/IEC 27001 with a high level of motivation and a clear vision, and has systematically integrated the structures put in place into its business processes.”
