Award-winning!
The data required for analysis are transmitted from the plant to the platform via an IoT web link.
To use the mondas® IoT platform, the plants which are to be monitored need to be equipped with an IP data interface. The sensor, measurement and operational data are transmitted to the mondas® IoT platform via a data logger. The building control system’s management and operating units can be connected to the data logger via a router.
mondas® “understands” more than 30 different Fieldbus protocols, making it versatile enough for almost any system. Flexible interfaces also help ensure straightforward connection with other data management programs.
High performance – low hardware requirements
One unique selling point of mondas® technology is its rapid data processing. With the high-performance data format HDF5, the IoT platform works several orders of magnitude faster than, for example, SQL databases regardless of the data volume.
Even complex data structures can be processed efficiently for analysis using complex AI algorithms. At the same time, the hardware requirements for visualisation and controlling are relatively low, meaning that users can work with a standard computer while benefiting from clear and customisable interfaces (Rapid Design).
Another advantage of the mondas® IoT platform over traditional solutions is that the database structure is easily scalable. Once it has been created, it can be copied for any number of plants. This is particularly advantageous for monitoring of very large plant portfolios such as those often managed by contractors, manufacturers or maintenance companies.
Features of the IoT platform
- Cloud-based real-time monitoring
- Manufacturer-independent monitoring and connection of all types of plants, buildings and production facilities
- High scalability thanks to the Semantic Metadata Engine
- Extremely fast and simple customisation
- Automated fault detection with expandable algorithm library
- Ideal for large, decentralised plant portfolios

BENEFITS OF MONDAS©
Versatile
mondas© recognises various Fieldbus protocols
Scalable
Once defined, an analysis can be applied to any number of plants
Flexible
Data management on-premises or via the cloud
User-friendly IoT platform
To use the mondas® IoT platform, the plants which are to be monitored need to be equipped with an IP data interface. The sensor, measurement and operational data are transmitted to the mondas® IoT platform via a data logger. The building control system’s management and operating units can be connected to the data logger via a router.
We will customise the platform interface for you. Additional plants can be added quickly and easily via drag and drop. New plants are recognised and analysed immediately.
The sophisticated metadata system ensures solutions which can be rapidly configured and scaled.
The algorithms can be applied to analyse any number of plants of the same type in just a short space of time. Customised solutions are easy to configure, eliminating the need for complex and expensive programming.
The dashboard system has a clear structure, can be freely configured and gives a quick overview of the most important operating statuses.
NEW: mondas 2.0
The new version of the IoT platform mondas 2.0, which was introduced in July 2020, comes with a graphical editor which enables the programming of rules for virtual sensors as well as individual calculations.
A major advantage of mondas 2.0: The graphical editor is relatively easy to operate. After a brief induction, even users without a background in IT can independently generate new sensors and replace old ones, for example for converting units.
This makes analysis even more straightforward and user-friendly, particularly when it comes to automated data analyses.

Boost the efficiency of energy plants and properties
The number of decentralised energy installations and building services systems requiring highly efficient operation and energy use is rising. This is where the mondas® IoT platform comes in, as a key tool for the digitalisation of the energy transition.
For example, mondas® allows automated, predictive monitoring of combined heat and power (CHP) plants as well as monitoring of building services equipment and production plants. The larger and more decentralised the plant portfolio is, the better.
mondas® technology processes time series and compares the operating status of different plants. This is generally beyond the capabilities of traditional remote monitoring systems, which only perform situational spot checks.
If an operating error is identified, the system will generate concrete instructions for action, such as a service call. This can be helpful particularly if the plant is a little older. Experience has shown that the need for maintenance and repair work increases disproportionately towards the end of a system’s technical service life.
